School trip to Monsanto - June 18th, 2011

Teachers, students and some parents ( I hope)  from our School went on a school trip to Monsanto ( the Atlantic Forest, in Lisbon), today.
Monsanto Forest  is well known for his biodiversity. The pedestrian walk starts in Monsanto and ends up near the river Tagus. Conservation International  ( CI)  and Monsanto established this partnership because both organizations believe that by working together, they will encourage positive changes for biodiversity and natural habitats .
The project has two specific objectives:
  • Preventing illegal deforestation
  • Preventing the local extinction of species
Have you ever been to Monsanto Forest ? Do not miss the opportunity of going on a visit!
